UK: 16-year-old convicted for terror crimes

Aug.26, London: A 16-year-old girl has convicted for two terror charges at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

The girl from Manchester, admitted two charges of possessing a document containing information of a kind likely to be of use to a person preparing or committing an act of terrorism. She was admitted possessing “recipes for explosives” and a bomb making guide.

She was arrested in April by the North West counter Terrorism Unit for the investigation. A 14-year-old boy from Blackburn was also arrested with her for involvement in a plot to attack police at an Anzac Day parade in Australia.

The girl, who cannot be named, was accused of having a copy of bomb-making guide the Anarchist Cookbook.
